MP TENNIS LADDER
SEASON 18
"HOW TO USE THE NEW FEATURES"
Welcome to Season 17 of the MP Tennis Ladder
Below, you will find instructions for the new online features of the MP Tennis
Ladders.
We hope the new features will add to the experience of playing on the
ladders.
GETTING REGISTERED

Once you have signed up for the ladder at any MP Tennis location, you will
have to create a user-name and password to access the standings, phone
numbers and to report scores.

This is the screen you will see. Enter your information where it says "if you
don't have a user ID, register here".
YOUR USER ID MUST BE YOUR FIRST AND LAST NAME
(EXAMPLE - MIKEPRATT)
if your name is longer then 10 letters long, use first initial and last name
You can use any password, but the way we will control access to only those
current ladder members is comparing ID's with names of those signed up.

Once you are registered, there will be a short period of time before you will
be able to log on. All ID's will have to be matched with current members and
approved by MP Tennis. You should have access to the ladder the following
day (approvals will be done each night).

Once you are approved, you will have access to the standings, phone
numbers and the ability to report scores.

BEGINNING PLAY

Now that you are registered on the site, and approved, you can
access the standings and phone numbers.

Click the ladder you are playing on and it will take you to the
standings.

There, you will see a list of the players, their up-to-the-minute position,
their phone numbers, their win-loss record and latest results.

Once you have set up, and played a match, return to the site and click
on "enter results".
You will be taken to the following page:

As in past seasons, score will count in the order reported, not played.
If you are the winner of the match, click the arrow beside the "winner"
box. A drop-down list of everyone on the ladder will appear. Find your
name and click it.
Your name should be in the "winner" box now.
Now, click the arrow next to the "loser" box and find your opponent's
name and click it.
Finally, enter the score.
Click the "add results" button.
There will be a screen that will ask you to confirm that the score you
have entered is correct. If there is an error, follow the instructions to
re-enter the score. If correct, click where it says and the standing will
reappear with any movement on it for your match.
There might be a delay in the appearance of the match results below
the standings. One way of making sure your match was posted is to
check your win/loss record before posting a score. Once posted, your
record will include the match just reported.

As in past seasons, matches must be played with opponents within 10
spots of you. A warning will appear if you play outside 10 spots.
Matches played outside of 10 spots will be deleted and players moved
back to their previous positions. Matches played outside 10 spots will
not count toward your 8 match minimum for the playoffs.

WARNING
ANYONE CAUGHT ENTERING 'BOGUS' SCORES WILL BE DROPPED
TO THE BOTTOM OF THE LADDER.
REMOVAL FROM LADDER, WITHOUT REFUND, WILL RESULT FROM
SECOND INFRACTION.
ONLY REPORT MATCHES PLAYED BY YOU
It's our hope at MP Tennis that the new online features will add to the enjoyment
of playing on the ladder. Instant access to standings and phone numbers should
make it easier for you.
This is something new and we ask for a little patience during this first season
"online" as we work out any bugs that arise during the 1,000+ matches that will be
played this season.
Thanks for playing and have a great season.
